Sunbeam Tiger spare parts at Limora

The Sunbeam Tiger is a legendary British roadster with an American heart – a true muscle car of the 1960s. The Tiger was created in much the same way and by the same people who brought the AC Cobra to life. A powerful yet affordable British chassis was to be fitted with a high-performance American V8 engine. The Sunbeam Alpine met these criteria and, with the help of Carroll Shelby and later Ken Miles, was equipped with a Ford Windsor V8 engine. The vehicle was brought to production readiness at Jensen Motors in Wolverhampton, which also handled series production of the Sunbeam Tiger with V8 engine. Between 1964 and 1967, 7,085 cars were produced in two series.

  • Tiger Mk1: 4,261 cc (260 ci.) displacement and 164 hp. A total of 6,450 units were produced between 1964 and 1967.
  • Tiger Mk2: 4,735 cc (289 ci.) displacement and 200 hp. In 1967, 633 vehicles were built.
