Classic Hypoid 80W-90 API GL-4
Duckhams Classic Hypoid 80W-90 API GL-4, is designed for manual classic and vintage gearboxes where good extreme pressure protection is required and also differential units requiring this viscosity and API performance level. Many competitive oil manufacturers mention that their SAE 80W-90 GL-5 products “will not attack yellow metals” but be aware that API GL-5 products can cause poor gear shift in synchromesh gearboxes as the rings can slip.
Duckhams Hypoid 90W-90 API GL-4 is predominantly for use in classic and vintage cars steel gear sets, rack and pinion steering systems of the classic era and also for use in spiral bevel, worm and pre 1960 hypoid axles. It is suitable for use in many gearboxes where a moderate level of pressure protection is required.
