High stability, first-class cornering, good grip: even its forerunner Michelin XAS, the pioneer of the asymmetrical tread pattern, had established itself on the market in 1968 as the ideal tyre for higher speeds.
With the XVS, the model was refined and extended to heavy mid-range cars: Finally, excellent road grip was also achieved with these vehicles at speeds of over 200 km/h.
The flat tread, water-repellent grooves and other details are based on the technology of Michelin XAS. The special design of the tyre shoulders also helps in achieving high cornering speeds. So it is no wonder that this XVS quickly gained a large following!
